The Thanksgiving weekend was pretty fun this year. We did our traditional drive down I95 to Richmond to visit my brother, his family and my mom for the weekend. It has been said, it's not about the destination, but the journey. This trip is more about avoiding traffic jams along the way. I think after all these years we figured the best times and routes to get to our destination (there and back) relative backup free. That being said, the destination was great. We had a terrific dinner and spent the rest of the weekend taking walks, taking the kids roller skating and enjoying a relatively drama free visit. They are the best kinds.
Now that we're back, it's time to get ready for Christmas.
The decorations are up, however a few decisions had to be made, do we go with the new-fangled aluminum trees that are all the rage or stick with the more traditional green with faux snow?
I decided to go "green" if you will.
Once that decision was made, I had to think of stocking stuffers. Santa had a suggestion, but I thought I would pass.
Next, the gifts...

Yeah for faux snow! Can't wait to check it out in person. Silver trees are in fashion? I didn't know that christmas trees of any kind could come in or out of fashion...I am so out of the loop!
